Career Planning & 资源(CP&R) is the career center of Scripps College. We serve our students by partnering with employers, 女校友, 家庭, and the wider community to support Scripps students in making intentional career decisions.

Scripps College is a community of changemakers, and CP&R supports our students with individualized service at every step of their career journey, preparing them for lives of distinction post-Scripps. A sample of our signature programming includes:

The Emerging Professionals program, a week-long intensive of programming for a cohort of students
Career Exploration Treks, where students visit multiple employers, often hosted by 女校友, in major metropolitan areas
Internship Grants, which provide financial support to students completing unpaid summer internships

Career Preparations for Current Students

Our goal for current students is to maximize their Scripps experience. 这就是为什么CP&R prioritizes meeting with the first-year class within their first three weeks of the fall semester to begin evaluating their skills and interests. Scripps students have the opportunity to speak with recruiters as well as attend virtual job fairs and participate in mock interviews.

CP&R serves our recent graduates through partnerships with employers, 女校友, 家庭, and the wider community to provide resources and opportunities for students to land competitive full-time employment, fellowship and service roles, and gain entry into their graduate program of choice.

Postgraduate Opportunities

Scripps graduates receive competitive fellowships and grants for full-time study and research yearly at some of the nation’s—and world’s—top graduate schools. About two-thirds of Scripps 女校友 pursue a graduate or professional degree after graduating, completing their advanced degree within five years of their undergraduate studies.
